Things To Do In North Devon

Our farm is within easy reach of the A39 (Atlantic Highway) & thus the many attractions, events & wonderful countryside & coastline of North Cornwall & North Devon.

Countryside & Coast
Stay with us near the lovely village of Woolfardisworthy (Woolsery for short) & just 15-20 minutes from the coast at Clovelly or Bucks Mill. We’re near the middle of the Bideford to Bude leg of the South West Coast Path on the banks of the River Torridge & in the “Transition” of the North Devon Biosphere. Exmoor & Dartmoor are within an hour’s drive & some of Devon & Cornwall’s surfing is also within easy reach. If you want to visit of one our impressive local resorts the choice starts at Bude in the West through Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Appledore & Instow to Woolacombe & beyond in the East, with opportunities to explore small hidden gems of beaches such as Duckpool along the way.

Attractions
North Devon, & its surrounding area, is a popular holiday destination packed with things to do & places to visit. You will never be short of something to do! Visit Clovelly Village (pictured) & Court Gardens, Dartington Crystal or RHS Rosemoor, take the kids to The Milky Way or The Big Sheep adventure parks. See here for more exciting ideas.

Food & Drink
You are going to be living on a farm working hard on its sustainability – growing its own vegetables, rearing its own livestock & sourcing as locally as possible. So good food is on the doorstep if needed. However, there is also a super selection of places to go & eat & drink. From fish & chips on the Appledore & Bideford quays or at the Wreckers Retreat in Hartland Quay, to good country food at the Coach & Horses in Buckland Brewer, with superlative fine dining available at the increasingly famous Farmers Arms (see Sunday lunch in the picture right) in our home village of Woolsery. North Devon is also home to a growing number of distilleries & breweries  we’ve made it our business to keep up to date with the latest offerings – just ask us for details.
