We were lucky enough to be this campsite’s first booking through Pitchup and I can’t say enough positive things about this beautiful place. Essentially this is a campsite set within a nature reserve with a huge variety of wildlife (otters, owls, water voles, foxes and much more).

The owners have made huge efforts to make a comfortable and safe site for the long term, including hot showers and clean toilets with soap and hand sanitiser. Nice touches like the storage lockers with safe charging for electricals and planters with edible plants that you are free to pick make this rural site still feel luxurious. Additions such as microwave, kettle and toaster mean that even if you aren’t a regular camper you can still enjoy your stay. During the past year, many campsites have appeared which are basically fields with a tap. Dipple Farm couldn’t be more different. This is a proper campsite created for the long term with eco credentials and the needs of campers in mind.

Pitches are spacious and spread out meaning you don’t feel close to your neighbours. Camping is in the upper field, but you are also able to explore the well signposted site, with walks by the river in the lower fields.

The location provided a great base to explore the coast in both Devon and Cornwall, with easy access to beaches and coastal walks from Westward Ho! to Bude and beyond.

The owners are very friendly and helpful and really want to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. James W from Oxfordshire July 21
