Covid-19 and dipple farm
Current Situation in January 22
Rules and guidelines are relaxing but Plan B still exists. You can check for the latest updates from UK government for England here. Dipple Farm Camping offers holiday accommodation so a lot of the relevant guidance will be under “Staying away from home overnight” on the government website.
These rules and guidelines cover our individual behaviour and how we, as a small business, conduct our operation and deliver service to you as visitors to our site.
In general, our individual behaviour is still expected to be circumspect and respectful of others & reacting positively to, Covid-19 symptoms if and when encountered, be it Omicron or another variant.
In general, as a campsite offering holiday accommodation, DFC: has risk assessed the situation; provides well separated pitches as standard; there is a good ratio of pitches to facilities (so you’ll be sharing with a max of 3 other pitches); offers ventilation in indoor areas and cleans common areas often. We also offer access to the NHS Track & Trace system upon arrival & will have lateral flow tests available (if they are still available).
We intend to maintain a “sensible” approach to common facilities and ask you to help us mitigate any lingering impacts of the virus. By sensible we mean continuing to contribute to a safe and enjoyable holiday for all our guests until the long-term situation becomes clearer
Bookings, Cancellation & Covid-19
Cancellation By You
If you have to cancel because you, or one of your booking members, has a positive Covid test, or symptoms, that means that you/ they have to self-isolate, or you/ they are put into a lockdown such that it means you will be breaking the law to come on holiday (proof maybe required) then we can offer the following two options. Either: to postpone your holiday to a later date leaving your deposit/ balance with us (which helps us, as a small business, enormously); or, we will provide a refund of the full amount less a £10 admin fee*
* The admin fee covers the processing of your Greener Camping Club membership of £12, the annual membership of which shall, in any case, remain yours and continue.
Cancellation by Us
If, as a result of Government restrictions on campsites, we are forced to cancel your holiday, we make a heartfelt request that rather than a refund, we instead hold your deposit/ balance as a credit against a later stay, valid for up to 12 months from your original holiday dates.
Again as a small business, we are wholly dependent on your custom for our financial survival. We realise these are difficult times for all, but your support will help us get through this and help make Dipple Farm a wonderful place to stay and revisit.
