SITE & PITCH AMENITIES
Our pitches are spread out over our Top & Bottom Fields.
The original 5-acre Top Field has great views of the Torridge Valley, near-pitch parking & is just a short distance from our Campers’ Kitchen (see below), the main farm & road access to the delights of North Devon & beyond.
The rest of our pitches are in the more tranquil 4 1/2 acre Bottom field. Situated just below the Top field, it is lower down the valley side & nearer the rivers & their wonderful meadows. Whilst parking & the Campers’ Kitchen are 150 yards away, The views are still stunning & the field has its own facilities.
Our Greener Camping license is for a maximum of 15 pitches (up from 10 last year) with up to 5 campervans.
We are introducing glamping ready for the 2022 season & will have two furnished 6-m Safari bell tents ready for our opening in April.
Our grass campervan pitches are in the Top Field. Grass camping pitches are spread over both fields.
We’ve made our pitches as level, spacious & spread out as we can. The smallest is 4.5m x 5m, the biggest take bell tents. All have great views with some enjoying a “good day” view all the way to Dartmoor.

Use of Pitch Amenities – Most showers & toilets are shared between pitches, but there are 6 of each so queuing should not be an issue. Our facilities are checked and cleaned daily.
Eco- & Off-Grid – As a sustainable smallholding & off-grid, eco-campsite we use & provide eco-based products (we’re conscious that the waste goes in to our land). Please help us help nature!
Covid Rules – Use of the amenities will also be subject to any national &/ or local Covid usage rules in force at the time.
No Dogs Allowed – This was a reluctant decision. We have our own cats & dogs. However, we wanted you to have a quiet, relaxing environment & did not want to endanger our own & neighbours’ livestock well-being.
YOUR site Amenities (incL. campers’ kitchen)
The Campers’ Kitchen is in our West Barn. It includes: secure device charging points; your own fridge & freezer space; free freeze packs & a clothes line.
On the campsite you’ll also have a recreation area in the Glade in the middle of the Top Field.
Any water you drink will be from our own bore hole & additive-free.
Pure Nature – Once settled you can walk through our fields, woods & meadows, or next to our rivers & enjoy great beauty – both flora & fauna. You’ll see (in order of rarity) horses, sheep & cows (over the fence), deer (lucky), badgers (up late), water vole (quietly patient), buzzards (amongst other birds of prey), owls (listen out at night), kingfishers (stay alert) & otters (expert or incredibly lucky).
